Bentley's new Continental GT is their best yet. Fast yet controllable, perfectly engineered yet simple, and well-balanced are a few ways to describe this car. It is powered by a 6.0L twin-turbocharged W12 engine that puts out 567hp at 6000rpm. This allows it to go from 0-60mph in 4.3 seconds, and it can reach a top speed of 198mph. It also has one of the most advanced all-wheel-drive systems in the world, making it very stable both on and off the road. However, it weighs 5115lbs (2.56 tons), which does affect its performance.
So, what do I think of it?
My Rating: 7.5/10
This one was tough. I wasn't sure whether to give it a high or low score. It is an outstanding car, but it has a few drawbacks, most of which are caused by its weight. It has a very powerful engine, and I can tell that just by driving it, but the weight keeps the engine from achieving its max performance. Also, the handling is a bit strange. It under-steers a lot, and feels like a rear-wheel drive car, though it does amazingly well off road. Overall, if Bentley were to find out a way to make the car lighter, I think it would be among the best Lamborghini's and Ferrari's of today.
