The Shelby Cobra is one of the most legendary cars in existance. They were originally built by AC Cars, but Shelby assisted with the development of the Mk III. Powered by a Ford 427 7.0L engine that puts out around 425hp, this car was built to be fast, at least by the standards of the 60's. It could reach a top speed of 162mph. Its curb weight is around 2350lbs, making it lighter than a 2012 Ford Fiesta. Production of the Mk III started on January 1st, 1965, making it 47 years old. The styling of the car represents that. The 60's were a great time in the history of autos because the cars of that era were designed so well, and this car is no exception. The Shelby Cobra is a true classic, and deserves a place in American automotive history.
So, what do I think of it?
My Overall Rating: 6.5/10
Forza Horizon: 6/10
This car has a lot of problems in Forza Horizon. Firstly, its acceleration is okay, but it doesn't feel as fast as it should. I mean, come on. It has a 7.0L V8, not some small 4-cylinder engine. And I know this car is old, but it still should be a little bit faster than it is. Second of all, the handling is terrible. If you even try to round a sharp corner, keeping the back wheels in control is almost impossible. Then there's the price. 1,500,000 credits. That's a bit much if I say so myself. Again, I realize that it's an old car, but for that price you could buy 3 Lamborghini Aventadors. And for what this car can do, I'd rather buy a Ford Focus.
NFS Most wanted: 7/10
In NFS Most Wanted, this car is actually pretty good. It can't keep up with the Lexus LFA's or McLaren Mp4-12C's, if that's what you're looking for, though. To be honest, it does feel a little faster than in Forza Horizon, but there's not too much of a difference. However, the handling is a lot better than in Forza Horizon. The car seems much easier to control overall in NFS Most Wanted, but it still isn't the best car you can get.
