The 2010 Devon GTX is a somewhat mysterious car. It was unveiled in 2009 at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. Designed by the Devon Motorworks Company in California, it was made to be a stunning show car. The official specifications haven't been released yet, but I can tell you one thing: it is not a slow car. During its validation testing, it set an unofficial lap record at Willow Springs Raceway. It includes an aircraft-quality carbon fibre body, "up-and-forward" style doors, dual exhaust ports at the center of the rear bumper, racing seats, and more.
Get to the point already, how good is it?
My rating: 9/10
Hopefully this becomes a production car at some point, because it is good. Scratch that, it's unbelievable. I love how this car drives, looks, and feels. It has the ability to stand out in a crowd. It has that sort of sporty, concept car look to it (inside and out), which makes it unique. It also has a lot of power. Even though the specifications of the real-life version of this car are unknown, in game, it has an 8.4 L V10 engine that can put out 650hp. This, in combination with the fact that it only weights around 1.5 tons, makes it a very powerful car, on or off the road. The power pays off. On the highway, I was able to get it all the way up to 203mph (even after hitting a few traffic cars, since I'm not the best dodger). Only problem I have with this car is it can get a little tail-happy. Try to go around a sharp corner at a high speed, and it'll slide out a bit. However, this just adds more fun to driving the GTX. This is definitely a favorite of mine, and I hope it'll be a real car someday.
