Well, well, well, what do we have here? A new Z06 Corvette? And it’s a Stingray, too? Oh, hell yes! I’ll review that for sure. Special thanks to GeneralRambo for suggesting to write a review on it!
One quick note before we begin: sadly, there won't be a history section on the car in this review (or the 650S review coming tomorrow), as I've been way shorter on time than I was expecting.

THE FH2 REVIEW
Speed (10/10)
This thing is fast, even by the high standards of the last-gen ZR1. Despite not even being the ZR1 model, the C7 Z06 gets 12 more horsepower than the outgoing C6 ZR1 (650 vs 638), and, when compared to the outgoing Z06, it gets an additional 145 horses (650 vs 505), which rocket this beast of a car up to 60mph in less than 3 seconds. Having this many horses on your side comes with another bonus: while racing down one of the highways for a speedrun, I managed to hit 201mph before having slowing down, and I seriously believe it could’ve gone even faster. It doesn’t stop there, either...
Handling (8/10)
...as the handling is actually stable. Believe it or not, the handling on the new Z06 has been improved vastly compared to the outgoing model. Whereas the C6 Z06 sloshed around through corners like a small boat, the C7 Z06 has way more grip through the corners, even with the huge increase in power. Sure, it still slides, but even then, it’s by far an easier car to control than before. Hell, the handling is improved even when compared to the base model C7. Additionally, the brakes have some serious stopping power to cope with the extra horses. The only issues that seem to remain are the off-the-line grip (which is to be expected with this much horsepower in a RWD car) and the somewhat wide turning circle (it isn’t nearly as nimble as the MX-5 I reviewed last time, for example - again, this is to be expected), but these don’t seem to have a huge impact on the fun factor this car has.
Overall Rating: 9/10
So, somehow, Chevrolet managed to cram more horses under the hood in the new Z06 than the old ZR1 had while at the same time, improving the handling. I don’t know how they managed to make it work, but I’m glad they did. While the C6 Z06 was definitely fun in a straight line, the sloppy handling held it back at times, but gladly, the C7 Z06 doesn’t suffer from the same issue. Even the styling has been drastically refined and modernized while still embodying the classic look to be expected from a Corvette (and a Stingray ‘Vette, for that matter). Overall, I think Chevrolet’s update to the Corvette Z06 was a great success, especially in Forza Horizon 2.
As always, thanks for reading! Remember, there's more reviews coming tomorrow and Sunday, so keep an eye on my Twitter for those!
